Shipibo Summer Ayahuasca Retreat

  • La Grange, TX United States (map)

Ayahuasca, Kambo & Bufo Retreat

Beloved Soul Family,

There are seasons in life when we can no longer ignore the quiet voice within asking for our attention. The voice that knows something is ready to be released, reclaimed, healed, or remembered.

This retreat was created as a sacred pause from the demands of everyday life and an opportunity to step away from the noise, reconnect with yourself, and enter a space devoted to healing, reflection, and transformation. Through ceremonial work with Ayahuasca and the Sacred Amphibians, we gather in an intentional container that supports both personal exploration and meaningful connection.

There is a unique power in giving yourself fully to the retreat experience. As the weekend unfolds, the mind begins to quiet, the heart opens, and the wisdom revealed through ceremony has space to deepen and integrate. While each ceremony offers its own gifts, it is often the collective journey of the weekend, the time in nature, moments of reflection, and connection with community, that creates the greatest opportunity for transformation.

Whether you are seeking healing, clarity, renewal, or a deeper connection to Spirit, you are warmly welcomed to join us.

Dates:

  • Friday, July 31st

  • Saturday, August 1st

  • Sunday, August 2nd

Location:
La Grange, TX (Exact location /address & memo with further details will be provided a week before retreat to all participants who have submitted deposits)

Nestled on over 50 private acres in La Grange, Texas, this beautiful ranch offers a peaceful and secluded setting for retreat, surrounded by nature and far removed from the distractions of everyday life. The property features both river access and a swimming pool, providing ample opportunities to cool off, relax, and connect with the land during the warmth of summer.

The ranch includes a 3-bedroom, 3-bath home and a spacious barndominium that serves as our communal resting and gathering space throughout the retreat. Participants are welcome to bring a sleeping pallet, mattress pad, or bedding to create a comfortable resting area indoors following ceremony, eliminating the need for a tent unless preferred.

The barndominium comfortably accommodates our group and also provides shelter in the event of inclement weather. For those interested in bringing a camper or trailer, please contact us directly to discuss accommodations.

Guided by: Carlos Chávez – Shipibo Maestro & Wisdom Keeper

Carlos Chávez is a devoted son of the Amazon — a master curandero of the Shipibo lineage whose life has been shaped through over three decades of deep communion with Ayahuasca and the sacred Master Plants of the jungle. He comes from a long line of healers who walk in prayer with Pachamama, and yet he carries his wisdom with remarkable humility, warmth, and joy. To be in his presence is to feel both deeply held and genuinely uplifted.

High in the mountains of Tarapoto, Peru, Carlos tends a sacred medicine space where he carefully prepares the Ayahuasca with devotion, prayer, and precision. Each batch is cooked in ceremony, guided by the plants themselves, honoring the intelligence of the jungle and the lineage he carries.

Carlos also holds a rare gift of vision and clairvoyance, allowing him to perceive the subtle realms where imbalance first forms. In the Shipibo tradition, the most powerful healing tool is the icaro — sacred songs received directly from the plants. These ancient transmissions awaken the medicine within, cleanse dense energies, and perform what many experience as spiritual surgery. When Carlos sings, the jungle moves through him.

It is also a deep honor to share that the medicine we will drink in ceremony is the Ayahuasca I personally cooked alongside Carlos during my most recent Master Plant dieta in the jungle — a brew prepared in prayer, devotion, and living relationship with the plants.

To sit in ceremony with Carlos is to be guided by generations of wisdom, held in joy and humility, and invited into profound healing and remembrance.

Stephanie DeLeonardis – Facilitator of Kambo & Bufo Ceremonies

What began as a personal healing journey nearly a decade ago has evolved into a life of service. Stephanie is entering her sixth year of serving this sacred work and has spent nearly ten years in relationship with the medicine. Her path has been shaped through years of personal devotion, direct experience, and ongoing study with the Seri (Comcaac) Nation of Sonora, Mexico, where she was initiated, trained, and continues to receive guidance and support from those who have stewarded this medicine for generations.

She approaches this work with deep reverence, humility, and respect for both the medicine and the individuals she serves. Rooted in safety, integrity, prayer, and presence, Stephanie creates a grounded and supportive container where healing, self-discovery, and profound transformation can naturally unfold. Her intention is to create the conditions for individuals to soften into the wisdom of their own hearts, where love becomes the guiding force for healing, remembrance, and lasting transformation.
